John Kerry is the 68th United States Secretary of State
Secretary Kerry was the Democratic nominee for President in 2004 and represents the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the United States Senate. A veteran of the United States Navy in Vietnam, Senator Kerry is Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. His work on the Iran-Contra scandal and the international response to HIV/AIDS established him as a forward-thinking member of the United States Senate on national security. His book, The New War, written years before the attacks of 9/11, foresaw the security challenges of the twenty-first century.
Secretary Kerry had to resign his position with ASP on 29 Jan 2013 when he was confirmed by the US Senate as Secretary of State. Has has yet to be sworn in.
