Politico: Air Force General joins ranks of American Security Project

The American Security Project, a nonprofit bipartisan public policy research and education initiative focused on national security and foreign policy, announced that retired Air Force Gen. Lester L. Lyles would join its board of directors.

Lyles retired from the Air Force after 35 years, most recently as commander, Air Force Material Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.

Prior to that, he served as Air Force vice chief of staff and chief technology officer and director of the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization at the Department of Defense.

He also serves on the board of directors for a number of defense technology and logistics solutions companies, including General Dynamics Corp. and MTC Technologies.
