IAEA Director General Visits ITER
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Yukiya Amano, visited ITER in southern France on July 6, 2012 to tour the facility. He received a briefing on the construction progress and offered his thoughts on the role fusion can play in meeting global energy needs. ITER is a joint project by the European Union, the United States, Russia, China, India, Japan and Korea.
