BGen Cheney: Military Needs to Lead on Climate Change

ASP CEO BGen Steve Cheney, USMC (Ret.) participated in a panel discussion as part of the Climate Reality Project, a 24-hour newscast on climate change. The Climate Reality Project is headed by former Vice President Al Gore, who participated on the panel with Gen. Cheney. The panelists talked about what can be done to address greenhouse gases, and Gen. Cheney cited the work that the military is doing in biofuels, energy efficiency and renewable energy.  As the largest energy consumer in the United States, the Department of Defense has a lot of work to do on shifting towards cleaner energy, says Gen.
