Poll shows veterans see national security affected by foreign oil dependence
A new poll released yesterday by VoteVets.org shows 73 percent of Afghanistan and Iraq veterans support Clean Energy Climate legislation in Congress, and 79 percent believe ending our dependence on foreign oil is important to national security.
An overwhelming majority of veterans said that they supported the view that our national security was adversely affected by our dependence on foreign oil – by a 79-14 percent margin.
