Industrial Heat, a U.S. company has bought the rights to the cold fusion technology called the Energy Catalyzer. Inventor and convicted scam-man, Andrea Rossi claimed that the Energy Catalyzer can produce energy in the form of heat; however, the tests were not peer-reviewed. Regardless, Industrial Heat, based in Raleigh, N.C., hopes to “make the technology widely available,” it said in the announcement. “The world needs a new, clean and efficient energy source,” said company spokesman JT Vaughn, who didn’t immediately reply to a call seeking comment. “Such a technology would raise the standard of living in developing countries and reduce the environmental impact of producing energy.”
