In the shift and advancement to renewable energy, General Fusion and Joule have gotten new CEOs. General Fusion is trying to develop the most efficient path to commercialize fusion energy and Joule is developing solar platform to convert waste into valuable fuels and chemicals. Joule named Paul Snaith as President and CEO. He was most recently COO at the firm. He assumes the role from Noubar Afeyan, Executive Chairman and founder of Joule. Dr. Snaith previously spent twenty-four years at Shell, including serving as VP of Downstream Marketing for Shell Global Solutions. Joule claims to have developed “a solar platform for the conversion of waste CO2 into valuable fuels and chemicals.” Investors include Flagship Ventures and Rusnano.
