ASP’s Holland on the TPP as an Instrument for Peace
ASP’s Director of Studies Andrew Holland published an op ed on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) titled The Trans-Pacific Partnership for Peace in the Washington Examiner.
Holland argues that in the face of significant security challenges in the Asia-Pacific, the TPP will work to maintain stability and peace in the region. If approved by Congress, it will create a system of shared values, increase prosperity for all TPP partner nations, and build military and strategic alliances. Holland also calls attention to the dangers posed to both U.S. and the Asia-Pacific security if the TPP fails to pass.
