On this week’s episode of “What’s Next?,” Maggie Feldman-Piltch is joined by Brigadier General David McGinnis, USA (Ret.). They discuss an American Security Project-led delegation to Havana, Cuba which brought six retired flag officers on a fact-finding mission to explore options for future U.S.-Cuba relations.
Speaker’s Bio
BG David McGinnis was the Chief of Staff of the National Guard Association of the United States. McGinnis served as Director of Strategic Plans and Analysis in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs. He served two tours in Vietnam before leaving the active Army in 1972 to join the New York National Guard. In 1990, he rose to Branch Chief of the Force Management Division at National Guard Bureau (NGB) in Washington. Subsequent assignments included Deputy Chief from 1991-92 and Director from 1992-1993.
He is a graduate of the State University of New York and later earned an advanced degree from the Army War College in 1991.
