ASP in the News: Senior Fellow David Haines on WAVY
On August 13th, ASP Senior Fellow for Climate Security David Haines was featured on WAVY-TV to discuss the necessary steps and funding needed to combat the climate change crisis.
In the segment, Haines focused on the region of Norfolk, Virginia, where experts and scientists are appealing to Representative Elaine Luria (D-Norfolk) to secure additional funds for the region and its local military bases.
“There’s been a lot of that collaboration, but the funding has to be there, too. A base in an unresilient community is not a resilient base, just like a community that’s got an unresilient base in its midst is not a resilient community.”
