ASP Presents on Climate Security at Florida Climate Week
On Monday, October 3, Jessica Olcott Yllemo, ASP’s Director, Climate Security Programs, presented on climate security and national security in Florida during Florida Climate Week. The presentation explored Florida’s role as home to more than 20 military installations, including MacDill Air Force Base, USSOUTHCOM, and Mayport, and discussed the pivotal role Florida plays in national security, the current and future impacts of climate change, and potential policy implications for the Sunshine state.
