Long-term, scientific research has been responsible for new, innovative industries, from Hybrid Seed Corn in the early 20th Century through Genetic Engineering and Lithium-Ion Batteries today.

Unfortunately, the U.S. is systemically under-investing in basic R&D, and that puts our future well-being at risk.
