Economic Times – Russia to build world’s most powerful laser station

MOSCOW: Though lagging behind US and France in building a laser station, Russia says once its USD 1.5 billion dual-purpose facility is built it will be the world’s most powerful.
Though there is no specific date for construction has been finalised but, the station might be built near the Sarov Federal Nuclear Centre in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod region, the head of the nuclear centre, Ildar Ilkayev was quoted by RIA Novosti as saying yesterday.
