Tim Gentry has relocated back to the United States to lead the Business Transformation and Acceleration at Avaya. He is accountable to provide go-to-market strategy and cultural transformation for Avaya. He co-chairs a targeted sale acceleration executive team that is focused on Avaya’s IPO packaging and quarterly revenue commitments.
Tim Gentry serves on the board for Interactive Government Holdings (IGH). IGH is a Service Disabled Veteran owned company that is focused partnering with US and Global Governments to provide best in class program practices and execution of service to the citizens.
Prior to his current position, Tim Gentry was the Managing Director/CEO for Avaya Asia South Pacific. He was based in Sydney, Australia, and headed the strategic leadership for Avaya as it delivers high performance networks, new multi-channel communication solutions and services to the ANZ marketplace.
Gentry while previously in the United States was the Senior Vice President and General Manager for Civilian/Advanced Program and Sales Operations for Nortel Networks (Acquired by Avaya). As a senior leader, Gentry drove to provide solutions to meet the strategic transformation initiatives for the Civilian Marketplace, Intelligence and Global Governments. In this role, he was responsible for providing, executing and determining new business opportunities.
Before Nortel and Avaya, Gentry provided direction and management for the business design for Adelphia Communications. Gentry and team focused on facilitating collaboration and engagement between Adelphia Communication and the newly acquired companies, standardizing information technologies to improve and streamline the services available to Adelphia’s customer base.
Gentry was also a Senior Partner at VGE where he led the management consulting practice that enhanced productivity for clients and establishing best practices for their information technology. In addition, he led the business process re-engineering and systems implementation of mission-critical financial databases backend and security infrastructures.
Gentry holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Information Systems from Salisbury University, Master of Business Administration in both International Finance and Global Information Technology from American University, Washington, District of Columbia and is an Alumnus of Harvard Business School, Cambridge, Massachusetts and is a current active member of Young Presidents Organization.
