Asymmetric Operations Intern
Expertise: US National Security Strategy, Middle East & North Africa Policy, Asymmetric Operations, Conflict & Development
Dominique Eric Varier is a junior at Johns Hopkins University pursuing a BA in International Studies & Economics with an Islamic Studies minor. Born and raised in Nyack, NY, Dom has a keen interest in US national security strategy and conflict resolution. He particularly focuses on the Middle East, yet also has a general interest in other regions. At ASP, Dom hopes to further develop his strategic thinking by delving into these issues with regards to asymmetric operations conducted by non-state actors.
Next year, Dom will be studying abroad at Johns Hopkins’ Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies in Bologna, Italy. In his free time, he enjoys exploring new places, “attempting” to learn a new language, and playing a nice video game.
