U.S-Russia Relationship Intern
Expertise: Estonia and Latvia security policy, Arctic security, U.S.-Russia relations
Nicole Franiok is pursuing a Master of Public Policy in international security and economics at the University of Maryland. Currently, Nicole is a fellow at the Robertson Foundation for Government and an intern at the American Security Project. Her research interests include U.S.-Russia relations, the effects of hybrid warfare on the Baltic States, and Arctic security.
Nicole received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Arcadia University. During her time there, Nicole studied abroad in the United Kingdom and participated in a global field study in Estonia, Latvia, and Russia. Nicole spends her free time hiking with her border collie Zion and studying Russian language.
