Nuclear Security Intern

Expertise: Nuclear Security, Iran’s Nuclear Program, Iran’s Foreign Policy, Sanctions Policy

Sepideh Zabel received an M.A. in Political Science and International Relations, with a focus on Iranian foreign and security policy, an M.A. in Economics, and a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Hamburg. She is currently a Ph.D. scholar in the final phase at the University of Hamburg’s Graduate School. During her Ph.D. research she has dealt intensively with the political developments in Iran and actively participated in a series of conferences, workshops, seminars, and study trips in Berlin, Strausberg, Hanover, Vienna, and Brussels, where she conducted expert interviews. Other important areas of her work include the concept of power and regional power.

She is fluent in German, English, Farsi, and Dari.

In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and is interested in learning about other cultures, watching documentaries, and hiking.
