Expertise: Quantitative and qualitative analysis, cyber security, Middle East, and South-Central Asia.
Ahmad is a research analyst with research interest in Cyber Warfare, Internet Freedom, Security Studies, and South Central Asian affairs.
He currently works as a senior analyst with Global Energy Partnership, where he advises the leadership on cultural and political dynamics in the Middle East and Afghanistan. Previously, he also held positions at InterMedia, Meridian International Center, the Scientist’s Wishlist, and the Embassy of Afghanistan in Washington, D.C.
Ahmad’s research and writing appears among others in Foreign Policy, Voice of America, and several other independent blogs. He holds a B.A in International Affairs and Computer Science from Beloit College. He is fluent in Pashto, Farsi, Turkish, and conversational in modern standard Arabic.
