ASP Announces the Appointment of Matthew Wallin as CEO
The American Security Project is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Wallin as the organization’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
Wallin originally joined ASP in 2011 and has served in various capacities over his nearly 14 years with the organization, most recently as Chief Operating Officer since his appointment in 2021 and subsequent addition to the Board of Directors in 2023.
Commenting on Wallin’s new position, ASP President Lt Gen Norman R. Seip, USAF (Ret.), said, “Matthew’s selfless and long term commitment to the organization has made him an indispensable asset to ASP. No one knows the organization like he does, and the outstanding work he has done as COO for the past several years made him an easy choice as our CEO to chart ASP’s path forward.”
Upon his appointment, Wallin remarked, “I’m thrilled to officially take the helm of this organization and lead it into a period of growth and greater impact. 2025 will be a pivotal year for us, and I’m excited to be part of an organization that works on so many critical issues of national import during a time that will undoubtedly be marked as one of the most consequential in our nation’s history. I’m proud of the work we do at ASP, and grateful for the talented team we’ve assembled to do it.”
Since 2005, ASP has been at the forefront of national security research and analysis. ASP works to forge a bipartisan consensus on a national security strategy that will restore America’s leadership across the globe.
