A January 20th Politco article by Doug Palmer examined if and how President Obama will “play the national security card on trade” during tonight’s SOTU. As the piece pointed out, President Obama rarely speaks directly on trade for long- but his trade supporters are another story.
Palmer goes on to highlight Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs Ambassador Charles Rivkin’s remarks at the American Security Project event “Economic Diplomacy: How Business, Economic Ties and Trade Can Strengthen National Security” as a prime example.
