ASP in the News: COO Andrew Holland in The Baltimore Sun
On February 17, ASP COO Andrew Holland wrote an op-ed for The Baltimore Sun advocating for an increase in government funding to support fusion propulsion technologies for deep spaceflight in the new Space Age.
In the op-ed, Holland comments on the limitations of the antiquated propulsion technologies currently used to power spaceflight. As the US aims to send space missions to the Moon and beyond, it should look to and invest in fusion propulsion technologies as a promising alternative.
“Once harnessed, [fusion propulsion technology] will prove to be the key that can fulfill the promise of spaceflight. It achieves faster travel times, allows exploration and transport further than any other technology, produces less and cleaner waste and is highly reusable.”
