ASP’s Andrew Holland Quoted in The Detroit Bureau’s Article on Renewable Energy Options
Andrew Holland, Senior Fellow for Energy and Climate with the American Security Project, was recently quoted in a piece by The Detroit Bureau about American interest in renewable fuel options in response to recent gas price jumps. While discussing US dependence on oil, the article quotes Holland stating:
“Even if we produced all our oil here at home, in a global market the price is still set by the latest unrest in the Persian Gulf, we should instead encourage competitions in how we fuel our nation. Biofuels can ensure a steady supply of clean, domestically produced renewable fuel as an alternative to oil. This is key to keeping Americans safe and prosperous in the 21st Century.”
