Vanessa Smith-Boyle is a senior at American University where she is earning a B.A. in International Studies with a minor in Economics. Her areas of focus include Europe and Eurasia, U.S. foreign policy and national security, and global and comparative governance. Additionally, she has also earned a certificate in Political Thought with the School of Public Affairs at AU.
Previously, Vanessa worked as a law clerk with the Mount Law Firm where she focused on reviewing evidence relevant to juvenile delinquency cases to help ensure the best outcome for the firm’s clients. At American, Vanessa also works as a reviewer for the University’s undergraduate research journal on national and global affairs.
In her free time, Vanessa enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, and perfecting her barista skills at her second job at a bakery in Van Ness.
