Homelessness is a growing problem that negatively impacts the nation’s economy. According to HUD’s 2017 Annual Homeless Assessment Report, homelessness in the US increased for the first time in 7 years, and recognizes that significant resources are needed to help address the various housing and service needs of people who are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless.
