Lloyd’s and ASP Risk Forum – Gov. Tom Ridge, Featured Speaker
On February 17, the American Security Project, in partnership with Lloyd’s of London, JLT, and Risk Cooperative, hosted the Risk Forum: Pathways to City Resilience. The event brought together leading policymakers, business leaders, and regulators to discuss the potential uses and benefits of Lloyd’s City Risk Index, as well as share best practices and insights.
Gov. Tom Ridge, former governor of Pennsylvania and first Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, was the second featured speaker. He gave his perspective on the importance of resiliency in all contexts, particularly in creating “cultures of resiliency” in government, businesses, and everything in between. The costs of ignoring it would be disastrous.
