MEDIA ADVISORY: ASP to Release New Report Measuring Progress in the "War on Terror"
Please join the American Security Project for a live teleconference marking the release of its new report: “Are We Winning? Measuring Progress in the Struggle Against Violent Jihadism“
In order to gain a deeper understanding of U.S. successes and failures in the “war on terror,” the American Security Project has developed ten criteria to measure progress in combating the violent jihadist movement.
ASP President and Chair Senator Gary Hart and ASP Senior Fellow and lead study author Dr. Bernard I. Finel will outline some of the major findings of this research during this hour-long Web teleconference on Wednesday, September 5 at 1:00 p.m. (EDT).
This compelling study seeks to move the public debate beyond simplified
discussions of the threat to a more thorough consideration of the
causes and processes that contribute to jihadist violence. It is the
first to examine together the component pieces of the struggle against
Islamist terrorism, and to produce metrics of success that are both as
objective as possible and reproducible on an annual basis.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in a live Q&A session
at the end of the presentation. Registration is required to attend this
event.
