New START is needed for National Security

The New START Treaty is in the best interest of our national security – our top national security leaders, including all of the serving military leadership, support this Treaty.

We understand that there are many pressing issues facing the nation, but this does not alter the fundamental fact that this Treaty is needed to improve our security.

It puts boots back on the ground – verifying Russian strategic nuclear weapons, and creates stability between our nuclear forces.

We believe that this Treaty should be ratified as soon as possible.
