Reinventing Fire – New Report on How to Fundamentally Improve America’s Energy System

Changing America’s energy system won’t be easy, but, with the right investments made over the next 40 years, America can run a growing economy by 2050 with no oil, coal, or nuclear power. That is the result of a new study, “Reinventing Fire” recently released by the Rocky Mountain Institute, the institute founded by scientist Amory Lovins.

The report finds that in key areas like Transportation, Building Efficiency, Industry, and Electricity, we can save money, reduce emissions, and increase the security of our economy. The report is aimed a businesses, instead of politicians.

The report is accompanied by excellent visual aids, including the ‘infographic’ at left and a video that clearly shows how this can be done.

The report is available on Amazon. I’m going to buy it.

Hat tip to Bill Hewitt’s Climate blog for the link to the report.
