Senator John Warner's Statement

Senator Warner’s statement provided a wonderful and personal account of his committment to the cause of countering climate change–including his own witness to the devastating impact on America’s western forrests.

Perhaps his plea to the Senators on the committee to lead and to educate the public was most compelling–and most appropriate to the mission of ASP.

  1. Actually climate studies covering 1000 years prove that it is Global Climate Cooling that is causing the draught that is devatating America’s western forests.

Satellite temps show no significant warming since 1995, no warming since 1998 and cooling for the last few years. Global temp has declined 0.73 F since 2006.

A cold Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) along the US west coast coincides with droughts. The PDO is affected by solar variability, La Nina, El Nino Southern Oscillation and the North Atlantic Oscillation.
