Speaker Bio
Anita Friedt is the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Nuclear and Strategic Policy in the Bureau of Arms Control, Verification and Compliance (AVC). In this capacity, she partners with the Assistant Secretary in managing and leading the Bureau. Ms. Friedt also directly supervises the Offices of Multilateral and Nuclear Affairs and the Office of Strategic Affairs.
Ms. Friedt has enjoyed a thirty-three year career at the Department of State, focusing on European foreign policy with an emphasis on Russia and European security and nonproliferation.
