Gillian Evans is an M.A. candidate in Strategic Studies at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), focusing on U.S. national security challenges originating from the Middle East and South Asia. Gillian currently interns for the Afghanistan Strategy & Policy team at the Department of Defense, and she serves as a research assistant at SAIS’s Merrill Center for Strategic Studies.
Previously Gillian worked as a Consultant Analyst in PA Consulting Group’s Federal and Defense Strategy practice, and as a fellow at the Lahore University of Management Sciences in Pakistan, where she focused on strategic planning and reforms to the university’s scholarship program. She currently serves as President of SAIS Global Women in Leadership, SAIS’s largest and most active student-run organization.
Gillian graduated from Georgetown University’s undergraduate School of Foreign Service with a degree in International Politics.
